Housed in a complex of old farm buildings, Gairloch Heritage Museum is a record of life in the area from pre-history to the present day. The museum was established in 1977 by the local heritage society and has so far won seven national awards.

The museum has much to offer both the casual visitor sheltering from the gentle Wester Ross rain, and the more serious student of history and Highland life. Children and adults will love the working models, quizzes and hands-on activities, while researchers will find rich resources in the library and archives.
